Now Hiring: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

The Early Childhood Educator Assistant will be working with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old and potty training. The educator assistant will be responsible for assisting with lesson plans activities, screenings and assessments, supervising children, communicating with parents, adhering to the policies of Mom’s House, and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for children. Classrooms have a small group size – no more than 10 children with a co-teacher.

We follow a school-year schedule with typically reduced hours during the summer months and closure between Christmas and New Year.

AA in Early Childhood Education or related field is strongly preferred.

Knowledge or Background in the following is preferred:

• Creative Curriculum
• Human Development/Family Studies
• Social Service
• Step Up to Quality
• ASQs
• Teaching Strategies GOLD
• ODJFS licensing rules & requirements

• Must be physically able to perform the job of Early Childhood Educator Assistant including lifting, shifting, and maneuvering weight up to 50 pounds
• Must have a warm supportive attitude toward children
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes within the program/organization
• Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance
• Must be willing to perform the duties as required
