Mom’s House is seeking an Early Childhood Educator. Classrooms have no more than 10 children per room, ranging in age from 6 weeks up to 5 years old and kindergarten-ready.
The educator will be responsible for assisting in the completion and execution of lesson plans and activities, screenings and assessments, supervision of children, communication with parents, adhering to the policies of Mom’s House, and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for children. We operate like a school year – potentially decreased hours during the summer months and closed between Christmas/New Year.
Salary is based on education, years of experience and career pathways level through OCCRRA.

Education Requirements
- AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge or Background in the following is preferred:
- Creative Curriculum
- Human Development/Family Studies
- Social Service Industry
- ASQs
- Teaching Strategies GOLD
- ODJFS Licensing Rules & Requirements
Personal Qualities and Special Job Characteristics
- Must be physically able to perform the job of Early Childhood Educator including lifting, shifting, and maneuvering weight up to 50 pounds
- Must have a warm supportive attitude toward children
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes within the program/organization
- Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance
- Must be willing to perform the duties as required
